2026 Election - State and Federal

The 2026 mid-term election will determine who represents Caswell residents in the NC General Assembly, US House of Representative, and the US Senate.

NC General Assembly

Graig R. Meyer, a Democrat from Hillsborough, and Laura Pichardo, a Republican from Pelham, are both running for NC State Senate District 23.

The race for the NC House of Representatives District 050 seat will be determined in March's Primary. Renee A. Price of Hillsborough, Brandall Redd of Reidsville, and Mary Lucas of Hillsborough will all appear on the Democrat Primary in March. The winner of that race will not face opposition in the fall.

US Senate

The US Senate seat currently held by Senator Thom Tillis is up for grabs in the 2026 election.

The following Democrats have filed to face each other in the March Primary:

  • Roy Cooper of Raleigh
  • Daryl Farrow of Jacksonville
  • Marcus W. Williams of Wilmington
  • Orrick Quick of High Point
  • Justin E. Dues of Concord
  • Robert Colon of Rocky Point

The following Republicans have filed to face each other in the March Primary:

  • Elizabeth A. Temple of Smithfield
  • Donald M. (Don) Brown of Waxhaw
  • Michael Whatley of Gastonia
  • Margot Dupre of Charlotte
  • Thomas Johnson of Garner
  • Michelle Morrow of Cary

The winners of the Democrat and Republican Primaries will both go on to face Libertarian Shannon W. Bray of Angier in the fall election.

US House of Representatives

In the 2026 Election, voters will be asked to choose who will represent District 13 in the US House of Representatives.

The following Democrats have filed to face each other in the March Primary:

  • Paul Barringer of Sanford
  • Alexander Nicholi of Raleigh
  • Frank Pierce of Raleigh

The following Republicans have filed to face each other in the March Primary:

  • Brad Knott of Raleigh
  • Sid Sharma of Morrisville

The winners of the Democrat and Republican Primaries will go on to face Libertarian Steven Swinton of Sanford in the fall election.

Timeline

Individuals who wish to vote in the March 3, 2025 Primary Election must be registered to vote by February 6. Early voting will begin on February 12 and end on February 28.
