Caswell Sends Thousands of LDOC Party-Goers Home Early
Residents left to clean up the mess after thousands of college students poured into Caswell County Saturday night. Many students were dropped off by Uber or Lyft drivers, only to find themselves stranded with no cell signal and no plan for getting back to campus.
County residents, churches, and business owners along NC Highway 150 in southwestern Caswell County were out picking up trash on Sunday morning after thousands of college students came through the area Saturday night.
It took all available units and the assistance of multiple partner agencies, but the Caswell County Sheriff's Office averted crisis on Saturday by securing a large, unexpected crowd that showed up to a party on Mims Farm Road.
