Nine Caswell County teachers and two administrators have been recognized by the state for EVAAS growth.

EVAAS (Education Value-Added Assessment System) is a statewide system North Carolina uses to measure student academic growth or how much students improve on state tests from one year to the next. It estimates how much a teacher or school contributed to that growth compared to expected results. Growth scores from EVAAS are used in teacher evaluations and also in State bonus programs that reward teachers whose students show strong growth results. The results are specific to 3rd grade reading, 4th and 5th grade reading, and 4th through 8th grade math.
