Facilities Dominate Discussion Among Other County Business
Commissioners had a full agenda at their March 16 meeting
Facilities dominated much of the discussion at the March 16, 2026 meeting of the Caswell County Board of Commissioners.
First, Commissioners questioned Caswell County Schools Interim Superintendent Lance Stokes about the Needs-Based Grant for extensive renovations at Oakwood and its required local match.
Interim County Manager Melissa Williamson shared that she and RD Hayes, the County's Maintenance Director had recently toured the Civic Center, noting the need for roof repairs or replacement, some HVAC and plumbing repairs, and updates to flooring and the electrical system. She added that a more detailed assessment would be needed before cost estimates could be provided.
