Three years ago, in June of 2023, Whitt pled guilty to multiple felony charges, including disturbing human remains, insurance fraud, and obtaining property by false pretenses in connection to two corpses found in a horse trailer on his residential property in May of 2021.
Jeremiah Randall "J.R." Whitt, 45, of Milton died at his home on Saturday, May 2, before completing his sentence.
