Education funding provided by the State of North Carolina is used to fund the salary cost of Physical Education (PE) teachers but does not support athletics. Instead, middle and high school sports must rely on local funding.

This past year, of the $3,078,092 in local funding allocated by the Board of Commissioners, the Caswell County Board of Education allocated $136,952 for sports.
