Milton Searching for Water Leaks
UPDATED!! Milton water customers are asked to please report any leaks or low water pressure to 434-306-8574.
The Town of Milton has issued an urgent plea for residents to check their properties for water leaks and report any found as soon as possible by calling (434) 306-8574.
Tank levels fell on Wednesday morning, prompting a search for leaks. Two leaks have been found but town officials suspect there are more and ask residents to restrict their water usage to only what is necessary and search their property for any leaks.
Jesse and Chris Mullins are also searching for leaks in the town so if you find one, please call (434) 306-8574 as soon as possible.

*Updated at 2:49pm, January 29 to include the following update from the Town of Milton reporting, "Success in identifying major leaks at 3 properties this morning, which will enable our water supply to better recover. No one was in these 3 homes. Thankful to Mullins Utilities and NC Rural Water. Two with Rural Water drove 3 hours yesterday to help us, stayed overnight and returned this morning to be boots on the ground, which has not been easy with all the ice. While things are currently better, these extremely low temps could continue to cause burst pipes, so please be watchful. Low water pressure is one sign there could be a leak, so please report 434-306-8574."
