Milton Strengthens Internal Controls and Considers Staffing Ahead of Major Grant Funding
The Town of Milton has several major water and sewer infrastructure projects underway and are making sure they have their i's dotted and their t's crossed before accepting additional grant funds.
The Milton Board of Commissioners held a special meeting on Thursday, September 24 to address a few key issues related to financial processes and grant funding.
First the Board approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with EPIC (Environmental Policy Innovation Center) to provide project management and technical assistance, to include the development of a water system management plan and potentially covering the cost of permits needed for construction of the Town’s secondary well. The MOU does not create additional expense for the Town of Milton.
