Milton's Complex Water Worries

Milton Mayor Angela Upchurch offered a few updates regarding the Town's complex water worries during Milton's June 9 meeting.

Upchurch noted that the survey work being done to establish a 2nd well to serve as a secondary water source had hit a snag. The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) requirements state that well cannot be located within 300 feet of a cemetery.

The proposed location of that secondary well is within 250 feet of Cedars Cemetery.
