Milton's Town Commissioners met on Tuesday, July 14, expressing gratitude that the Town had been able to lift the boil water notice earlier that day after their well pump went out on Monday, July 6

“We have worked for two years in order to have a secondary water source in case this happened, and to replace the pump with as little disruption as possible,” Mayor Angela Upchurch said during Tuesday’s meeting. “We still ended up suddenly needing to replace the pump in an unplanned manner. However, all the networking connections and grants we had in place was extremely advantageous, and I can’t imagine having navigated this crisis without them.”
