Preservation Caswell Calls on Citizens to Speak Out About Restrictions on Historic Courthouse Use

Editor's Note: Caswell County Commissioners approved changes to the County's Facilities Use Policy on October 5, 2026, restricting public use and rental of the Historic Courthouse.

Preservation Caswell, Inc. is calling on the citizens of Caswell County to make their voices heard regarding sweeping proposed changes to the County's Facilities Use Policy that would effectively eliminate private rentals and general public use of the Historic Caswell County Courthouse. The proposed policy language is not simply a change to the rental process. It states that “Rental of the Caswell County Historic Courthouse is strictly restricted and unavailable for general public or private use.”
