Residents Invited to Plan Future
It is time to update Caswell's Comprehensive and Land Use Plan and residents are invited to participate in a series of open discussions designed to help plan the "blueprint for the next generation." Learn more about the existing plan here.
Over recent months, a group of residents and other community leaders have been working with Caswell's Planning Director, Jason Watlington, and staff from the Piedmont Triad Regional Council to update Caswell's Comprehensive and Land Use plan. They are now asking citizens to participate in a series of open discussions designed to help plan the "blueprint for the next generation."
All meetings will be 6:30pm - 8:30pm.
Growth in neighboring areas has led to increased residential development across the county. Much of that development is occurring on 1-acre lots cut from former farm land.
Watlington and the Caswell County Planning Board have been discussing a number of updates to local policies and ordinances in an effort to more efficiently manage residential development while preserving the county's rural character. Updates discussed have included measures to limit road-front lot development while encouraging the development of interior land.
