Scholarships Available Through The Community Foundation

The Community Foundation's 2026 scholarship application process is open now through March 1. Scholarships are available for students and adults pursuing:

• 2 or 4-year college degrees
• Trade school or technical school programs

Eligible applicants include:

• High school seniors
• Current college students
• Adults returning to school

Scholarships through the Community Foundation support individuals of all ages who reside within the Dan River Region – Danville, VA; Pittsylvania and Halifax counties, VA; and Caswell County, NC. In 2025, the Community Foundation awarded more than $370,000 to 152 students.

Students are encouraged to begin the application process early because incomplete or late applications are not eligible for scholarships. The scholarship portal opened January 1st and will close on March 1 at 11:59 pm.
