Stoney Creek Takes 1st Place in Elementary Battle of the Books

The team from Stoney Creek Elementary School won first place in the Caswell School District's 2025–2026 Elementary Battle of the Books Competition held on May 1, 2026.

Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program that brings teams of students together to demonstrate their abilities and to test their knowledge of the books they have read.

In a Facebook post celebrating the team's performance, Stoney Creek Elementary School expressed appreciation for the parents and other community members who have helped along the way. The school also voiced appreciation for the Stoney Creek PTSO and Mrs. Evans for arranging a special celebration for the team, whose peers welcomed them back to school with thunderous applause and cheers.
