The Literary Chef Fires Up the Grill When the Air Turns Crisp
Lucindy's grill menu shifts to heartier dishes and new flavors in the fall.
Sometimes summer's heat holds me captive, sweating at the grill. I'll admit that grilling in August isn't my favorite pastime. Autumn, however, is a good reason to fire up the grill. The leaves, the breeze, the slant of light . . . I appreciate the outdoors more in the fall, when the air is crisp and the leaves crunch underfoot.
Summer evenings found me at the grill, threading skewers with chicken and pineapple, flipping burgers, and charring corn. In the fall, the menu shifts to heartier dishes and new flavors.
