During a special called meeting on Wednesday, May 27, Interim County Manager, Melissa Williamson presented the Caswell County Board of Commissioners with a a recommended $33.1 million budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2027.

Williamson's recommended budget is $3.8 million less than the FY 2026 budget, maintains the current tax rate, and uses no fund balance for recurring expenses, but she warned that, "balanced does not mean comfortable."
