Community Discusses Infrastructure Needs, Residential Development

Six years ago, Caswell County voters refused county-wide zoning in a November 2020 referendum that failed by 512 votes.

Now, with residential construction on the rise, many residents are calling for more structure around residential development when asked to help update the Caswell's Comprehensive and Land Use Plan.

Approximately 11-12 community members attended a June 4 meeting in Pelham and around 40 individuals attended a June 9 meeting in Southern Caswell designed to gather community feedback on priorities. Residential development, and the types of homes being built, came up during the discussion.
