Ants Alter Schedule at Dillard
Students at the middle school get an extra long holiday weekend so the campus can be treated for fire ants.
Fire ants are forcing N.L. Dillard Middle School to take special precautions this week, including closing to students on Friday, September 4, 2026.
Dillard Principal, Ms. Terri Gullick notified parents on Wednesday, September 2 that ants had invaded the gym locker rooms, prompting staff to secure and restrict access to that area of the building.
