Caswell County Schools recently announced four key appointments to leadership roles.

Caswell County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Decolia "Dee" Carter as Principal of Bartlett Yancey Senior High School.

Ms. Carter is a dedicated and results-oriented educational leader with more than 19 years of experience in public education. Having most recently served as Interim Principal and previously as Assistant Principal at Bartlett Yancey Senior High School, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to instructional leadership, student achievement, staff support, and teacher development. We congratulate Ms. Carter and look forward to her continued leadership at Bartlett Yancey Senior High School.

Caswell County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Brian Shaw as Assistant Principal at Bartlett Yancey Senior High School.

Dr. Shaw has served the district with distinction as an Exceptional Children (EC) Behavioral Support Coach. His extensive experience in student support, instructional leadership, and school administration, combined with his strong leadership skills, will be a tremendous asset to the administrative team at Bartlett Yancey. We are excited to welcome Dr. Shaw into this important leadership role.

Caswell County Schools is pleased to announce Mr. David Graves as the Interim Principal of North Elementary School.

Mr. Graves brings more than 30 years of experience in public education. He began his career as a high school business teacher in Reidsville, North Carolina, and later served as a middle school principal in Guilford County Schools before retiring. During the 2025–2026 school year, he served as Interim Assistant Principal at Bartlett Yancey Senior High School, where he provided valuable leadership and support. We are grateful for his willingness to continue serving our students, staff, and community in this interim capacity.

Caswell County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Anna Foster as the District Academically and Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Coordinator.

A proud Caswell County native, Mrs. Foster has dedicated her career to serving students in Caswell County Schools as both a middle and high school teacher. Throughout her career, she has served as a lead teacher and mentor, earning the respect of colleagues through her commitment to instructional excellence and student success.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Foster to her new district leadership role and look forward to the positive impact she will have in supporting our gifted learners and educators across Caswell County Schools.
