Caswell RDF Offers Free Camps

Get ready for another exciting summer with the Caswell Recreation Development Foundation! 

We’re excited to announce that registration for our FREE Summer Camp Series will be opening soon! From sports and outdoor fun to creative activities and hands-on learning experiences, we’re working hard to make this summer one to remember for kids across our community.

We’re sharing the first round of camp dates now, but this is just the beginning. 

JUNE 15-17

PICKLEBALL CAMP - REGISTRATION OPEN

Get ready to serve, rally, and have a blast this summer at Pickleball Camp! This free camp for Caswell County youth is designed to introduce players to one of the fastest-growing sports in the country while building confidence, sportsmanship, friendships, and valuable athletic skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Campers will have the opportunity to learn from Scott Preston and enjoy a variety of engaging activities throughout the camp, including:

• Pickleball fundamentals and rules
• Proper grip, serving, and scoring techniques
• Forehand and backhand skill development
• Footwork and court positioning
• Fun drills and friendly competition
• Teamwork and sportsmanship activities

Whether your child is brand new to pickleball or looking to improve their game, Pickleball Camp offers a welcoming atmosphere where participants can learn new skills, stay active, make friends, and gain confidence both on and off the court.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

Pickleball Camp is free for youth ages 9 and older in Caswell County. All skill levels are welcome, from beginners picking up a paddle for the first time to players looking to sharpen their skills.

Space is limited to 32 campers, so early registration is highly encouraged.

WHAT TO BRING

Additional camp information and a list of recommended items will be shared with registered families before camp begins. Campers should plan to wear comfortable athletic clothing and appropriate court shoes.

JUNE 24-26

SPEECH STARS CAMP - REGISTRATION OPEN

This free camp for Caswell County children is designed to help kids build confidence, communication skills, friendships, and unforgettable memories in a fun and supportive environment.

Campers will enjoy a variety of engaging activities throughout the week, including:

• Interactive games
• Creative crafts
• Team-building activities
• Speech and communication-focused fun
• Special themed days

Speech Stars camp creates a welcoming environment where children can learn, grow, laugh, and shine while connecting with other campers and dedicated volunteers who make the experience so special.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

Speech Stars Camp is free for children aged 2 years to teenagers in Caswell County, and all ability levels are invited. Space may be limited, so early registration is encouraged.

JUNE 29 - JULY 1

CHEER CAMP 2026 - REGISTRATION OPEN

Get ready to jump, cheer, and shine this summer at Cheerleading Camp! This free camp for Caswell County youth is designed to help participants build confidence, learn cheerleading fundamentals, make new friends, and create unforgettable memories in a fun and encouraging environment.

Campers will enjoy a variety of exciting activities throughout the camp, including:

• Cheerleading fundamentals and techniques
• Motions, jumps, and beginner cheer skills
• Team-building activities
• Confidence-building exercises
• Group routines and performances
• Fun games and interactive activities

Led by instructor Brianna McCandies, Cheerleading Camp provides a positive and supportive atmosphere where campers can learn new skills, stay active, develop teamwork, and build lasting friendships while having fun.

We can't wait to welcome campers for an exciting summer of spirit, teamwork, and cheer!

WHO CAN ATTEND?

Cheerleading Camp is free for youth ages 4–13 in Caswell County. All experience levels are welcome, whether your child is new to cheerleading or looking to build on existing skills.

Space is limited to 60 campers, so early registration is encouraged.
