Caswell Residents Awarded Scholarships Through CFDRR

The Community Foundation of the Dan River Region (CFDRR) awarded 181 scholarships to 165 students during its annual Scholarship Reception in June for a total of $412,490.

The following scholarships were awarded to Caswell County residents for the 2026-27 academic year.

Caswell County Schools Scholarship

• Melanie Pinto, a spring graduate of Bartlett Yancey Senior High School

Danville Pittsylvania Academy of Medicine Alliance Scholarship

• Ashlyn Loftis, a spring graduate of Westover Christian Academy

Elizabeth Whitlow Reith Price R.N. / Whitlow Family Nursing Scholarship

• Akyia Wilson and Miranda Hancock, who are attending the University of North Carolina Greensboro

H. Lee Fowlkes Memorial Scholarship for the Arts

• Kathy Pichardo, a spring graduate of Bartlett Yancey Senior High School

John Wesley and Juanita Stokes Fulton Scholarship

• Makayla Graves, who is attending Winston-Salem State University

Lawrence R. Dabbs Scholarship

• Kathy Pichardo, a spring graduate of Bartlett Yancey Senior High School

Plumblee Scholarship

• Spring graduates of Bartlett Yancey Senior High School: Taylor Stanley, Molly Boaz, Eliza Brewer, William McGhee, Jr., Melanie Pinto and James Martin
• Jordan Johnson, who is attending Averett University
• Makayla Graves, who is attending Winston-Salem State University

Robert R. Blackwell and Virginia M. Blackwell Scholarship
