Commissioners Explore Vehicle Use and Staffing Capacity

Caswell County Commissioners were given a lot to consider at their Tuesday, September 8 meeting, including what changes they may want to make to the Vehicle Use Policy and the current capacity of the County Manager's Office.

In recent years, Commissioners have raised concerns about the number of vehicles in the county’s fleet, how those vehicles are assigned, who gets to take those vehicles home, and how the fleet is managed. The recurring expenses associated with County vehicles is a concern often expressed by Commissioners during budget discussions, including Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 discussions.
