Community Gathers to Remember September 11th

Community members came together in Yanceyville last week to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
The Town of Yanceyville hosted a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Friday morning at the 9/11 Memorial located at the corner of Main Street and North Avenue. Later in the day, Gunn Memorial Public Library and the Friends of the Library hosted a 9/11 Remembrance Program that featured the retelling of personal stories of courage and sacrifice from September 11, 2001 and the days and weeks that followed.
