Cool BEANS Youth Leaders Wrap Up a Busy Summer Camp
Local youth connected were mentored by a variety of adults and given the opportunity to practice life skills.
Cool BEANS Youth Leaders finished up a three-week summer camp in Pelham that focused on Leadership and Community with a produce give away on Wednesday in partnership with Second Harvest of Northwest North Carolina. The food give-away was just one way these young leaders chose to give back to the community.
Selena Thornton, the founder of Cool BEANS, is familiar face in Caswell County, actively serving on several local boards and committees. She devotes a considerable amount of time to networking and says one of the primary reasons she does so is to help connect local youth with the resources available.
