High School Students Invited on PCC's Ag Across NC Trip
Students will meet industry professionals, discover the latest trends and technology in agriculture, and learn about the many exciting career opportunities available in the field.
Piedmont Community College (PCC) is inviting high school students on an exclusive, all-expenses-paid, overnight field trip called Ag Across NC July 20-23.
This trip is designed for students who are curious about turning their interest in agriculture into a future career. Participants will travel across North Carolina to explore a wide range of real-world agricultural operations, from large commercial farms to innovative agribusinesses and sustainable farming operations.
Students will visit the Biltmore House and grounds, the Marion State Fish Hatchery, NC State’s campus and Plant Science program, enjoy farm-to-table dining experiences, and more. Along the way, students will meet industry professionals, discover the latest trends and technology in agriculture, and learn about the many exciting career opportunities available in the field.
This is a chance to experience one of the world’s most essential industries in a hands-on and meaningful way.
Students who are selected for the trip and their parents/guardians will be invited to a required, in-person Trip Overview Meeting on Thursday, July 9, at 5:30pm at PCC's Caswell County Campus to review all the exciting details and get ready for the journey! The trip will be chaperoned by Mr. Lucas Bernard, PCC Agribusiness Coordinator and Instructor and Ms. Edna Brown, PCC Student Services Director, Caswell County Campus.
