The Caswell County Commissioners are poised to adopt the County's Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 budget on Monday, June 15 but neither Caswell County Schools nor Piedmont Community College will be receiving anything near what they requested.

Piedmont Community College requested a total of $1,396,372, a 36% increase over FY 2026. The County's proposed FY 2027 budget allocates $923,689 to the college, which is $103,080 less than the FY 2026 allocation.

The request from Caswell County Schools was also 35% higher than FY 2026. In the proposed FY 2027 budget, the County allocates $3,078,092 to the school system for current expenses and $400,000 in capital outlay, maintaining 2026's base funding levels.
