Local Youth 14-21 Invited to Apply for NC T21 Youth Council
The council is supported by the North Carolina Public Health Association (NCPHA), and guided by Amber McClure Hill, former school principal, along with education and public health experts.
If you are ages 14–21, currently reside in NC, and care about the health and future of young people in North Carolina, the NC T21 Youth Council may be a great fit for you! Council members gain hands-on experience in statewide advocacy, policy change, connect with other youth leaders to create real change. No prior knowledge of state government, vaping, or the tobacco industry is required.
Council Members receive a $250 stipend/gift card for their travel & meal expenses. (all meetings will be virtual with the exception of 1-2 advocacy days in Raleigh, NC in the Spring of 2027.)

Deadline to apply is Friday September 4, 2026 - applicants will be asked to complete a brief interview at the beginning of September and council members will be announced by September 30.
