Meet Valencia Bass - PCC's Student Recruiter & Advisor
Bass says she wants to make it as easy as possible for prospective students to connect and learn more about what PCC has to offer.
Valencia Bass may be relatively new to Piedmont Community College (PCC), but she is not new to education.
Bass recently began working as a Student Recruiter & Advisor at PCC after teaching English, World History, and US History for nine years at the middle and high school levels. She said that she enjoyed the classroom but chose to leave teaching after COVID.
“It just wasn’t for me anymore,” Bass said, explaining that she chose to remain in the education field because she believes education creates opportunities.
She said that she knows what it is like to grow up in a small town and wants to make sure students in Caswell and Person Counties know that PCC offers short-term training and long-term degree programs right here at home.
