New Owners Reopen Store and Grill in Oakview as Quick Stop
New store owners say they are excited to be part of the community.
Jay Avaiya and his wife, Shruti or "Sunny" technically live in Greensboro, but joke that they really just sleep there as they now spend most of their waking hours at the Quick Stop convenience store, gas station and grill located on North Carolina Highway 62 South at Oakview Loop Road.
The couple recently purchased the store, formally known as Oakview Corner or Oakview Grocery and Grill, reopening the location four months ago as Quick Stop. They said that since that time, they spend 12-14 hours a day, seven days a week at the store.
Sunny explained that spending that much time in the community makes them feel like part of the community.
