The Piedmont Community College (PCC) Foundation is pleased to announce a gift of $18,000 from State Employees Credit Union (SECU) to support the SECU Bridge to Career program.

Founded in 2018, the SECU Bridge to Career program provides funding for $500 scholarships for up to 30 students at each of the 58 North Carolina community colleges. It helps remove financial barriers for students seeking state-regulated or industry recognized credentials that lead to sustainable wage careers within their communities. 

 “The SECU Bridge to Career program is a great example of how partnerships can make a lasting difference for our students and our community” said Grayson Brann, Executive Director of the PCC Foundation. “This generous $18,000 gift will help students overcome financial barriers as they earn industry-recognized credentials and prepare for careers that strengthen the local workforce. For many students, the cost of earning a credential can be a significant obstacle, and this support helps make those opportunities more accessible. We are grateful for the SECU Foundation for continuing to invest in the success of community college students and for helping PCC students take the next step toward meaningful, sustainable careers right here in our communities.”
