Preservation Caswell Returns Rare 1836 Yanceyville Document to Caswell County

Preservation Caswell, Inc. is pleased to announce the donation of an important nineteenth-century historical document to the Caswell County Register of Deeds Office, ensuring that this rare piece of the county’s history has been returned home and will be preserved for future generations.
Last month, an original handwritten document dated October 27, 1836, appeared for sale on eBay. Recognizing its historical significance, members of Preservation Caswell’s Board of Directors personally purchased the document at no cost to the nonprofit with the sole intention of returning it to Caswell County, where it rightfully belongs.
