Readers Ask: Is Caswell County Getting a Data Center?
There are currently no plans for a data center in Caswell but that does not mean the county will not be impacted.
Editor's Note: People know that I pay attention to local matters, so they tend to ask me a lot of questions. Sometimes I know the answer. Other times I must do some digging to find it. Long before Ken Bowman even mentioned the words "data center" to Commissioners, there was rumor.
There always seems to be rumor.
Large tracts of land have been sold across the county and landowners not actively looking to sell are regularly receiving offers, leaving many folks wondering about buyers' intent. Unfortunately, when some people don't know the answer, they just make one up.
Next thing you know, people across the county are starting sentences with the phrase, "I don't know if it's true, but I heard..." and the rumor mill sets to work.
