The Caswell County Recreation Development Foundation, a local nonprofit, is offering a series of FREE youth camps this summer and have opened registration for Basketball and Softball Pitching.
Bartlett Yancey Basketball Camp
Take your game to the next level this summer at the Bartlett Yancey Basketball Camp! Hosted by Coach Ian Witzgall, this free camp is the perfect opportunity for boys and girls to improve their basketball skills, build confidence, and have fun in a positive, high-energy environment.
Whether you're just learning the game or looking to sharpen your skills before the upcoming season, campers will receive hands-on instruction through drills, competitions, and game situations designed to help every player grow.
Throughout the camp, participants will focus on:
- Ball handling and dribbling
- Shooting fundamentals
- Passing and teamwork
- Offensive and defensive skills
- Footwork and conditioning
- Sportsmanship, confidence, and leadership
Coach Witzgall and his staff are committed to helping each camper develop both as a basketball player and as a teammate. Players will leave camp with improved skills, greater confidence, and a deeper love for the game.

Fastpitch Softball Pitching Camp
Ready to take your pitching to the next level? Join us for the Fastpitch Softball Pitching Camp, a free opportunity for aspiring pitchers to develop proper mechanics, improve accuracy, and build confidence in the circle.
Hosted by Katherine Lynch, this camp is designed to provide focused instruction for pitchers of all experience levels. Through hands-on coaching and skill-building drills, participants will learn techniques they can continue to develop long after camp ends.
Campers will work on:
- Proper pitching mechanics
- Grip and release techniques
- Accuracy and control
- Pitching fundamentals
- Confidence and mental preparation
To ensure every pitcher gets the most out of the instruction, each participant must bring a catcher to camp. Catchers are an essential part of the learning experience.
Whether you're stepping into the pitching circle for the first time or looking to refine your skills, this camp provides personalized instruction in a fun, encouraging environment.
