Vernon Massengill Honored by County for 43 Years of Service

County Commissioners, the NC Office of the State Fire Marshall, and Caswell's Fire Service honored Vernon Massengill during Tuesday's Commissioners meeting.

Vernon Massengill, who recently retired as Caswell’s Fire Marshall, has always said he does not like being the center of attention and that was evident during Tuesday night's meeting of the Caswell County Board of Commissioners when he turned to the firefighters in attendance and said that he wished he could divide up a plaque from the North Carolina Office of the State Fire Marshall (NCOSFM) to give each of them a piece.
