There are several big local government conversations happening in Caswell County over the next week that you may not want to miss if you live or work in Caswell County.
Thursday, May 28 at 8pm - Town of Milton to host special called meeting for the purposes of approving the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 budget. (Public hearing held May 19th.)
Monday, June 1 at 5pm - Caswell County Board of Commissioners regularly scheduled work session, to begin with a Public Hearing about the proposed budget for FY 2027.
Monday, June 1 at 5:30pm - Caswell County Board of Education (rescheduled due to Memorial Day Holiday) meeting, likely to include discussion of FY 2027 budget. Several parents have said they plan to address the board during public comments about recent changes to school start times and the district's grievance process.
Tuesday, June 2 at 6pm - Yanceyville Town Council's regularly scheduled meeting, to include discussion of FY 2027 budget. The Town Manager's proposed budget did not include any increases to the ad valorem taxes or water and sewer rates.
Wednesday, June 3 & Thursday, June 4 at 4pm - Caswell County Board of Commissioners budget work sessions.
Thursday, June 4 at 6:30pm - Caswell County Comprehensive and Land Use Planning - Pelham Community Meeting designed to plan the "blueprint for the next generation."
