"I wouldn't do this if I didn't love those kids."

That is the phrase many coaches at N.L. Dillard Middle School and Bartlett Yancey High School (BYHS) have offered when asked why they choose to coach sports in Caswell County.

Some of those coaches, like Alfreda Corbett, Angela Outzs, Ruth Miller, and Lynn Massey have been coaching local students for decades. Others, like Ryan Johnson, have only just begun to coach in Caswell, but they all say that coaching is about much more than a love of the game. Coaching, they say, is really about loving the students and wanting to help prepare those students, not just for the next game, but for life.
