Photo by Shannon Moretz / Newly appointed NC State Senator, Jonah Garson, pictured above right, attended this month's Community Lunch at CoSquare, where he joked with several community members about his penmanship when they drew attention to the fact that the 'G' on his name tag looked much more like an 'F.'

Jonah Garson of Chapel Hill was sworn-in by Associate Justice Allison Riggs of the North Carolina Supreme Court as the State Senator for Caswell, Orange, and Person County (District 23).

Garson was appointed to the seat after the resignation of former NC State Senator Graig Meyer.
