School Board Adjusts Student Drop Off Time for 2026-2027
Board also creates community bus stop for Oakwood car-riders going to South this fall.
On Monday, June 1, the Caswell County Board of Education adjusted the operating schedule for the 2026-2027 school year after parents pushed back on their decision to change school start times. The change was said to be necessary for the school district to be able to implement tiered bus routes.
Monday's decision makes a small adjustment to the instructional school day schedule set by the Board on May 11, and extends the operating day to ensure elementary school students can be dropped off as car riders before 8am.
The Board placed that matter on Monday's agenda after discussions during a Board work session, held earlier that afternoon.
